THAWING:

  • ALL FROZEN SALMON SHOULD BE THAWED IN THE REFRIGERATOR AND NEVER IN COLD WATER OR AT ROOM TEMPERATURE TO PREVENT DRYING OUT.

  • To ensure highest quality all our fish are flash frozen and should be thawed as slowly as possible.

THAW TIMES IN REFRIGERATOR:

  • All freshly frozen products: 24 hours

  • Smoked salmon: 24 hours or 2 hours on the counter. (Smoked can be thawed on counter because it is not a raw product.)

  • Dressed: 2 days on top shelf of refrigerator

  • Ikura: 24 hours

  • Wings/Heads/Carcasses: 24 hours

STORAGE


2 to 3 days in refrigerator before cooking including marinating time. Once cooked, eat within 5 days.

FRESHLY FROZEN

Store in vacuum-pouch when thawing.


Wrap in paper towel or loosely in a plastic bag. If kept in vacuum pouch, fish will become slimy over time.

SMOKED

1 to 2 weeks in refrigerator. After one week, smoked salmon will start to dry out but is still good to eat.


2 to 3 days in refrigerator.

IKURA

Store in container.
